E55 - Powers of Two

01. News
- perkwerk on Art Blocks

fxhash beta artist Per Kristian Stoveland (aka perkwerk) released their Art Blocks Curated project The Harvest this week. Not only did it impressively mint out at 3.25 ETH, but it's maintaining a floor of 5 ETH as of the time of recording.
Will and Trinity would kindly like to let ETH collectors know that there is still a ton of perkwerk work here on fxhash that is very reasonably priced in comparison, such as Shift which has (as of the time of this writing) a mere 175 tez floor.

- Emergent Properties interview

We recently wrapped an interview with Ira Greenberg and Emil Corsillo, two (of the five) founders of Emergent Properties, the generative AI platform that took the community by storm with genesis project The Oracles. Look forward to this coming out on a coming Wednesday.
- Credit card payments
You may have seen a fancy new credit card icon next to the 'Mint' button on the project phase. Yes, you too can now buy NFTs without tez! Right now it is only applicable to primary purchases, but we expect it to roll out to the secondary market soon enough.
- Upcoming Verse exhibitions

We covered exhibition / art platform Verse at the end of last year, when they were the vehicle for zancan's open edition project. Now they are hosting a trio of exhibitions titled Generative Abstraction and Beyond, featuring a number of beloved artists from fxhash and the larger Tezos ecosystem.
Part 1 of the exhibition included an animated work by Ivona Tau, as well as a project from Manuel Rossner and a collaboration from Leander Herzog and Richard Nadler, following up on their prior work Gerhard.

02. Market index updates

Some big movement this week as we see a retracement (in tez) terms from some of the project that had big runs in the preceding weeks; Loom and Ethereal Microcosm are the big exceptions with an explosive growth in floor price.
Despite prices being down, USD valuations are still up an average of 12%, which is largely aligned to the surging price of tez.
03. Buys of the week
- Trinity's pickups
Trinity is coming to the end of her Dragons sale windfall and is slowing down a bit on the secondary to compensate. This week she made two main purchases to continue to complete her collection.

First up was reborn #139 on the heels of mrkswcz's new project this week. She loves these early, architectural pieces from Jacek and is looking to purchase Unbuilt to continue completing the set.

She also picked up a lovely 'flipped' and 'bricked' Coronado from the floor which has the beautiful deep orange coloration that she finds is a hallmark of the project.

Will recently had three of his Coronados printed and framed in a large format that looks spectacular in his loft-like home.
- Will's pickups
Last week had us both gushing over some of the amazing outputs from Collapsar Beauty's Kyma, and after failing to land some offers, Will went ahead and purchased one that struck his fancy. Floors are continuing to fall and we foresee some more deals possible in the coming weeks and months.

He also swept Fracture and Elastic Web by artist inconvergent, who has been showcasing some of their WIPs on the bird app.

Lastly, Will purchased a few more of one of his beta favorites, Eltono's Arrangement. For those with Eltono interest, don't forget that Oyoyiz is still available for minting at an incredibly reasonable 15 tez.

04. Projects of the week
- 7.356

A scant two blocks (and a minimum of 25tz for gas) was all that was needed for this ambitious new project by mrkswc to sell all 256 editions. 7.356 is an ode to mathematics, and owners can download a file especially to 3D print their edition.

- Glossolalia

Possibly Trinity's favorite project of the week is Glossolalia, jeres' follow-up to their breakout piece of Coronado. We highly recommend reading the companion fxtext article, in which jeres speaks about their personal history that inspired this work.

- 300

This surprise drop from Phlins had Will scouring the marketplace as he went deep to explore and collect ten (and counting) pieces from 300, an intensely elemental project.

05. Shoutouts
- Dub Be Good To Me

revdancatt breaks the image composition mold with this project inspired by Genuary Day 18 (definitely not a grid). Not your average Pure Spider template work, Dan uses photographic snapshots in lieu of what might normally be blocks of color in this triangular feast.
- Five Body Problems: Limhamn

Will loves this take on creating prerendered components via the 3D scanning of common / found objects. Check out Dev Harlan's prior work for more interactive environments that are pulled from the real world.
06. Looking ahead
- 3DManatee
- Landlines
That's it for this week, and thank you for listening. If you like what we're doing here, collecting this article as a sign of support is always appreciated. Don't forget to collect your perkwerk werks and mint Oyoyiz! Until next time...
